Actor Spencer Banks reflects on his leading role in the 1974 Play for Today Penda's Fen, a remarkable coming-of-age story written by David Rudkin and directed by Alan Clarke. Spencer discusses the challenges of taking on such a leading role and how this story of identity, sexuality and the notion of Englishness has steadily become a cult classic.
