My Own Personal Gulag

Storyline

An essay film exploring the gap between the propaganda and reality of Soviet labor camps. Composed entirely of archival footage that often evokes a reality all its own, it juxtaposes conflicting accounts from figures including Gorky and Solzhenitsyn.
